Huge Virus Coming!

Hello everybody! I’ve just received a warning about new computer virus. After verifying, I decided to share this information with all of you. It is very important to read this one because it can help for your computer security. In order to avoid misleading, I decided to post the original message I got. Here it is:

Dear all ,

HUGE VIRUS COMING ! PLEASE READ & FORWARD !

Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus!

I checked Snopes, and it is for real. Get this E-mail message sent around to all your contacts as soon as possible.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS!

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled ‘POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,’ regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which ‘burns’ the whole hard disc C drive of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address on his/her contact list. That is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it!

If you receive a mail called‘ POSTCARD,’ even if it is sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN.

It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

COPY THIS E-MAIL, AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS.

Life of Monkey in Wat Phnom

Monkeys' Lives at Wat Phnom, Cambodia

Monkeys are eating mangos provided by visitors/Photo by: Dara Saoyuth

Monkey is an animal who naturally lives in the jungle. However, one of the resort in the center of Phnom Penh, Wat Phnom, is the place where many monkeys are kept for attracting the foreign tourists to visit there.

It’s hard for those monkeys to lead their lives in the city. They change their habit from eating what they want to eating what people give.

Living in the middle of the modern city, sometimes these monkeys cause problems to the visitors due to their natural behavior, mischievous. So far, these monkeys have stolen visitor properties such as wallet, purse and food if the tourists neglect their properties.

So, for people who want to visit Wat Phnom please be careful with their properties; otherwise, the monkeys will get it,and it’s hard to get your properties back from them.

The First Cambodian Car Maker

Mr. Nhean Phaloek Show His Third Car

“Your driving command is not correct, please check the driving system again.” This is the sound coming from a little car parked in front of a room storing car repairing tools when  the wrong key is inserted. This car is a bit smaller comparing to other ordinary cars, but it is well designed with the support of advanced technology.

The car, made by an ordinary Cambodian, has only two entrance doors and two seats for

a couple, a driver and a passenger.

NheanPhaloek, the car owner and maker, said that he started making his own cars since 2003, and this is his third car.

“In 2003, I got successful in making my first car that attracted many people,” he said.  “My first car has no air

conditioner, no roof, and it can operate by using motorbike’s machine with only 100CC power,” he added.

Mr. Phaloek achieved his second car in 2004, and this one was a bit updated from the first car.

He explained that he used the machine with 660CC power for his car, and he also equipped with air conditioner and a roof.

Since 2004, we didn’t see any achievement from him until in 2009, the third car appeared. By spending five years searching for something new for his car, at last, he really did a good job. In this new car, he used a lot of modern technology that made it very different and better than the previous two cars.

His third car has no roof, and it can work by using a machine with capacity of 600CC. This car has no CD player or Tape recorder, but has a loud speaker working with Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone.

A lot of people put their interest in his marvelous achievement, and news media both local and international started to contact him for interviewing.

“My car and my feeling have linked together,” this is the phrase that he used to explain the point that made his third car really different from his first and second ones. “I said that my feeling have connection with my car because only me who can control it,” he added.

He gave an example by pointing his hand to his car; surprisingly one of the car entrance door opened. Then, he pointed again to the other door and suddenly that door open automatically too. “Nobody can open my car door except me, because my car only listen to my feeling,” he explained.

This is a great achievement for him since nobody in Cambodia can make their own car before. Mr. Phaloek is the first people who have an idea of making such a kind of this car and achieved it by doing alone without any help from any experts.

Mr. Phaloek was born in Phnom Penh, and when being asked about education, he replied that he could study until grade one in 1975 (grade 11 in current educational system ).

He said that he never learned about how to make a car, but he used to be a motorbiketechnician between 1986 and 1987. He explained that his success came from his desire and encouragement from his family. His oldest daughter also helped him in designing these three cars’ models.

Even he already got successful in making three different models of his cars, this success does not satisfy him. He said that he is planning to invent his fourth car which will include some more special modern technology.

“I want to make another car in the future, and I will include some features that didn’t exist in the first three cars,” he said. “For my plan, I want my fourth car  more related with me. That car will open the door automatically when I want to get on, and when I sit on the seat, the steering wheel will appear and the engine will automatically start. When I want to leave, the steering wheel disappear, the engine will stop working, and the door will open for me to get out.”

“I strongly believe that the fourth model of my car will succeed,” he said at last.

Should Switzerland Deport Roman Polanski?

polanski

Roman Polanski

Roman Polanski, a French and Polish citizenship and also a famous film director, was arrested on September 2009 in Switzerland because of the U.S warrant. He was arrested by Swizz police and now the Swizz authority is thinking whether they should deport him to the United State, where he made a sexual assault on a thirteen years old girl in the past 32 years.

I don’t agree that the Switzerland authority should deport Polanski to the United State for facing a formal sentence there.

This sexual-crime case happened in 1977, and Mr. Polanski has made a lot of visits to Switzerland since then, and he also has a house there. The Switzerland authority can arrest him and deport him while he was in his house there, but why not. This Swiss police should not arrest him now because this case happened for a long time ago.

Samantha Geimer, a victim in the case, has publicly identified herself and expressed forgiveness of Mr. Polanski. Geimer sued Polanski in 1988 by alleging on sexual assault, and in 1993 Polanski agreed to pay her at least $500,000 as part of a civil settlement. Geimer and her lawyers confirmed the settlement was complete since that time.

Mr. Polanski, the Oscar-winning movie director, has wide popularity from people especially in the entertainment industry. Arrested him and deport to the U.S will not satisfied entertainment workers. Ronal Harwood, who won an Oscar as screenwriter of “The Pianist,” said: “It’s really disgraceful. Both the American and the Swiss have miscalculated.” Mr. Jack Lang, a former French culture minister, said: “Sometime, the American justice system shows an excess of formalism.”

The Swiss authorities announced on December 4, 2009 that Polanski had been moved to his home in the resort of Gstaad, Switzerland, and he has been placed under house arrest. I think it’s a good thing that the Swiss authorities don’t extradite him to the U.S, but still I don’t want him to be arrested even under house arrest. He should be freed, and his freedom is in the hands of judges in these two countries.
